This thrilling journey begins in the heart of Funchal’s Old Town, where you’ll encounter one of the city’s most iconic locations. Wander through streets steeped in history, surrounded by buildings that have withstood the test of time since the 15th century.

Our adventure then carries you east of Funchal to the charming coastal village of Garajau. But before you reach there, we’ll make a brief stop at the most beautiful viewpoint known to locals as “Pináculo.”

The Viewpoint sits 283 meters above sea level, offering an astounding view of Funchal’s bay. The Cristo Rei statue was constructed in 1927, four years prior to the renowned Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil.
