Leave Funchal behind and head into the peaceful mountains of Madeira on a scenic Tuk Tuk journey to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint. Rising to 1,095 metres above sea level, this impressive viewpoint offers spectacular views over the dramatic mountains and the secluded valley of Curral das Freiras, also known as Nun’s Valley.

As you reach the viewpoint, take in the vast landscape surrounding the valley and discover the fascinating history of this remote part of the island. Curral das Freiras was once a refuge for the nuns of the Convent of Santa Clara, who sought shelter here during pirate attacks in the 16th century.

With its dramatic peaks, peaceful atmosphere and fascinating stories, Nun’s Valley offers a completely different perspective of Madeira, far from the busy streets of Funchal.

We are located about 5 minutes from the CR7 Museum.
Alternatively, we offer pickup anywhere in the city or hotel in Funchal.
Pickup at the port is also available for an additional 2.50€ per person.
